We continue to monitor the situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19)
To Our Valued Jersey Mike’s Guests,
As our communities continue to feel the increased impact of COVID-19, I want to personally share with you what we are doing. At Jersey Mike’s, we strive to take great care of the people in the communities we serve, from local operators and their employees to the guests we serve in our restaurants across the country. Please be assured we have protocols in place and our practices and business decisions are informed by guidance from the CDC and public health agencies.
These protocols include:
- Emphasizing existing health and food safety procedures: continuous hand washing, glove use, and making sure that sick employees or employees with symptoms stay home.
- Enhancing our existing cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting procedures, particularly for all frequently-touched surfaces, including handles, trash receptacles, dining areas, and bathrooms.
- Proactive monitoring of new recommendations and requirements from the CDC and public health agencies to ensure that we continue to respond effectively as developments occur.
In addition, we have taken action over the past several years to prepare for scenarios like this. Throughout this process, we have continuously refined and implemented new procedures. From food safety to health and hygiene to cleaning and sanitation, we have allocated an abundance of resources into building chainwide guidelines that go above and beyond FDA and local health department requirements. Based on the guidance we have received from various health organizations we are confident that our restaurants continue to be safe.
We remain open to serve you, but will adapt if needed as things change.
We’re thankful for the privilege of serving our guests, who remain our top priority.
Sincerely,
Peter Cancro
