Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Port Jefferson Station Location

PORT JEFFERSON STATION, N.Y., Oct. 11, 2017 – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Port Jefferson Station on October 18. Franchise owners Seth Goldstein, Alvin Goldstein, Mitch Cohen, and Marvin Goldfarb held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, October 18 to Tuesday, October 24 to support Special Olympics of Long Island.

The new restaurant, located at 4600 Nesconset Highway (Route 347), circulated 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Special Olympics of Long Island.

The Goldsteins, Cohen, and Goldfarb share Jersey Mike’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and are dedicated to giving back to the local community.

These former multi-unit Dunkin’ Donut & Baskin-Robbins franchisees opened their first store in Hauppauge this summer and plan to open five locations. The team has extensive industry experience. Cohen and Seth Goldstein were recognized by the International Franchise Association (IFA) as Franchisee of the Year (2009), and served in multiple leadership roles for both the IFA and Dunkin’ Brands. Additionally, the duo co-chaired the Dunkin' Donuts & Baskin-Robbins Community Foundation, which is in alignment with Jersey Mike’s core value of “Giving…making a difference in people’s lives.” 

Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than $25 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 1.5 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. This year, the company’s 7th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised more than $5.5 million for nearly 150 charities throughout the country.
