Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First La Mesa Location
LA MESA, Calif., January 3, 2019 – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in La Mesa on January 9. Franchise owners Ray Ibrahim and Nabil Somo held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, January 9 to Sunday, January 13 to support Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation.
The new restaurant, located at 5163 Jackson Drive, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Eric Paredes Save a Life Foundation.
Eric Paredes was a healthy Steele Canyon High School sophomore athlete who died suddenly and unexpectedly from Sudden Cardiac Arrest/Death (SCA/D) in 2009. His parents, Hector and Rhina Paredes, established EP Save a Life Foundation to honor him through their commitment to prevent this tragedy from happening to other families. The EP Save a Life Foundation is committed to preventing SCA in young people through awareness, education and action. Saving lives is paramount to their mission and prevention is their goal.
