Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Jefferson City Location
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo., Aug. 16, 2019 – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Jefferson City on August 21. Franchise owners Derek Kent, Kelli Kent, and Jackie Floyd held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, August 21 to Sunday, August 25 to support United Way of Central Missouri.
The new restaurant, located at 2111 Missouri Blvd., circulated enter number coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to United Way of Central Missouri.
“We can't wait to share the world's greatest sub with Jefferson City,” said Jackie Floyd. “We've operated other restaurant concepts in Jefferson City for the past 3 years, and have loved being involved with many aspects of the community. At Jersey Mike's, we will deliver the same level of quality service and ingredients with antibiotic-free meats, freshly grilled cheesesteaks, and cold subs sliced to order. We know when you take that first bite, you will love it as much as we do.”
The Kents and Floyd are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more than $41 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 2 million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes. In 2019, the company’s 9th Annual Jersey Mike’s Month of Giving in March raised more than $7.3 million for more than 200 charities throughout the country.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 2,000 restaurants open and under development nationwide. Jersey Mike’s was named the country’s Fastest-growing Sandwich Chain in the 2019 Nation’s Restaurant News Top 200, and #1 Most Admired Fast-casual Brand in QSR’s 2019 Reader’s Choice Awards.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team. Jersey Mike’s turkey breast, ham, prosciuttini, and cappacuolo are all antibiotic free. Udi’s gluten free bread is also now available.
