Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Edina Location

EDINA, Minn., Nov. 27, 2019 – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Edina on December 4. Franchise owners Brian Smith, Dan Smith and Todd Madden held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8 to support Sheridan Hills Elementary School and Edina Girls Gymnastics, and on Monday, December 9 to Sunday, December 15 to support Richfield Middle School.

The new restaurant, located at 6559 York Avenue South, circulated 7,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Sheridan Hills Elementary School, Richfield Middle School and Edina Girls Gymnastics. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible. 

“We picked this location in Edina because we felt it was the perfect location for us,” Brian Smith said. “Education is very important to us, so for our grand opening, we have partnered with three great organizations. We wanted to help support our local schools and give back to the community.

“I was most attracted to Jersey Mike’s because of the quality of the food, the positivity within the entire brand, and getting involved in the community,” he added. “I just love seeing people come in through the doors every day and getting to know our guests.
