Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Bedford Location

BEDFORD, Texas., November 27, 2019 – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Bedford on December 4. Franchise owner Chad Huffhines and Jeff Worthen held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, December 4 to Sunday, December 8 to support a non-profit organization, 6 Stones – a catalyst of Hope.

The new restaurant, located at 2212 Central Drive., circulated 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to 6 Stones. 

“We wanted to partner with 6 Stones since they are very community oriented,” said Huffhines. “I reached out to them and spoke to Danielle Atteberry who invited me to one of their mission work days. There were about 700 people from the community who showed up to go work on people’s houses. They took me on a tour of three of the 60+ homes they were working on and I was truly blown away. 6 Stones really makes a difference in the community and I knew without a doubt, that we should be a part of this amazing organization.” If you haven’t donated to them in the past, now is the perfect time to consider doing so and supporting the local community.

“The great sandwiches and the great customer service are what attracted us most to the Jersey Mike’s brand. I also really enjoy mentoring young adults,” added Huffhines who enjoys playing music and spending time with family.

When asked about his favorite sub, Huffhines exclaimed, “What day of the week is it? I eat a lot of #7’s and #13’s!” Both the Turkey Provolone and the Original Italian are true classic choices, he said.
