Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Los Angeles on November 30. Franchise owner Juancarlos Chacon held a grand opening and fundraiser from Wednesday, November 30 to Sunday, December 11 to support John Marshall High School, Thomas Starr King Middle School, and Allesandro Elementary School.
The new restaurant, located at 2664 Griffith Park Blvd., circulated thousands of flyers throughout the community each containing various offers. For each offer redeemed, Jersey Mike’s will make a $2 donation to the participating charities from November 30 to December 11 as part of a 12-day grand opening celebration.
“I was initially attracted to Jersey Mike’s because of the quality of the product and the people in the company,” said Chacon. “For this grand opening, we have partnered up with three local schools. We want to help create more after school programs for the students in our community. After school programs keep kids safe, promote physical activities, inspire learning and help working families. We look forward to seeing everyone there!” Prior to becoming a Jersey Mike’s franchisee, Chacon worked in the restaurant business for 15 years and was an owner for 6 of those years.
