Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Clive on October 1. Franchise owners Scott Miller and Jed Hoffman held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, October 1 to Sunday, October 5 to support Variety the Children’s Charity.
The new restaurant, located at 12851 University Ave., circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Variety the Children’s Charity.
“The high quality product and authentic customer experience offered at Jersey Mike’s make this brand truly exceptional,” said Hoffman. “I found that on every level of the organization, the people that work for Jersey Mike’s are friendly, caring, and dedicated. As a business owner I’m proud to join a company that promotes a culture of top-notch service and making a difference in our communities.”
Hoffman added, “In keeping with Jersey Mike’s tradition, our grand opening will incorporate a 5-day fundraiser to benefit a local organization. Here in Clive, we chose to partner with Variety the Children’s Charity. Our goal is to raise enough money to provide a specialized bike for a child in our community. Throughout the coming months and years, we plan to support a variety of local organizations and make a difference in the Clive community.”
Miller and Hoffman are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike’s in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
This is the first Jersey Mike’s location for Miller and Hoffman.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (515) 224-1000.
