Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Nashville on June 25. Franchise owner Dan Patel, along with managing partner Shelia Holman, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29 to support the YMCA.
The new restaurant, located at 2288 Lebanon Pike, circulated 2,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to the YMCA.
“We’re reviving the Jersey Mike’s brand in Nashville by opening new shops and updating existing locations,” said Patel. “It’s a great period of development for us nationwide and we still have room to grow in Tennessee.”
Patel added, “Every Jersey Mike’s grand opening focuses on a five day fundraiser to support a local organization. Teaming up with the YMCA allows us to give back to our community in a meaningful way.”
Patel is an exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owner who shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike’s in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
This is Patel’s third Jersey Mike’s location. He entered the system in October 2011 when he purchased an existing location in Lebanon and went on to purchase another existing site in Hermitage in June 2013.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (615) 724-7458.
