Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Princeton on June 18. Franchise owner Dee Curran and manager Tyler Smith held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, June 18 to Sunday, June 22 to support the Princeton Family YMCA.
The new restaurant, located at 3495 Highway 1 South, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Princeton Family YMCA.
“I grew up on Jersey Mike’s and the product is still a staple for my family,” said Curran. “After spending 32 years working in corporate America, I was ready to make a change in my career and Jersey Mike’s seemed like the perfect fit. Everything from the company culture, to the product quality, steered me in this direction to join the Jersey Mike’s family.”
Curran added, “By popular demand we’re opening our doors in the untapped Princeton market. It’s exciting to bring the brand to this part of our home state and open our doors in support of the community. For the grand opening fundraiser we are teamed up with the local YMCA to help raise money for a new playground as well as other programs. We are grateful to be here in Princeton and we look forward to opening our doors on June 18.”
Curran is an exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owner who shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike’s in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (609) 799-8094.
