Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Houston on May 21. Franchise owners, and mother-son duo, Kathy and Dallas Brown held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 21 to Sunday, May 25 to support the Klein Soccer Club.
The new restaurant, located at 10123 Louetta Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Klein Soccer Club.
“We are pleased to support the Klein Soccer Club for our grand opening fundraiser,” said Kathy Brown. “By partnering with this organization we are able to make an impact for people of all ages and, of course, support our community.”
Kathy added, “My son and business partner, Dallas, is a recent graduate from Texas A&M and has really immersed himself in every aspect of being a restaurant owner. Dallas has taken the reigns to make sure that this location in Houston will be successful and deliver the authentic Jersey Mike’s experience. We are very excited to get our second location up and running and we believe that Jersey Mike’s will be a great fit for this part of town.”
The Browns are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike’s in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
This is the second Jersey Mike’s location for the Browns. In August 2013, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s in Spring.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (281) 257-4935.
