SAN DIMAS, Calif. – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in San Dimas on February 19. Franchise owner Alvaro Garcia held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, February 19 to Sunday, February 23 to support Gladstone Elementary School, Ekstrand Elementary School, Shull Elementary School, and Allen Avenue Elementary School.
The new restaurant, located at 466 N. Lone Hill Avenue, circulated 3,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Gladstone Elementary School, Ekstrand Elementary School, Shull Elementary School, or Allen Avenue Elementary School. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible.
“At Jersey Mike’s we are committed to making a difference in the community, “said Garcia. “Working with four of the local schools for our grand opening fundraiser is an opportunity to raise money for student programs and invite customers to try Jersey Mike’s highly authentic product.”
Garcia is an exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owner who shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $7.5 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 600,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses, sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike’s nearly 60 years ago. The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.
This is the 16th Jersey Mike’s location for Alvaro Garcia. In June 2011, he opened his first Jersey Mike’s location in Rancho Cucamonga. Garcia also owns Jersey Mike’s locations in Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, La Verne, Glendora, Upland, Marina del Rey, Long Beach, Culver City, Santa Ana, Santa Monica, and Chino.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (909) 305-8858.
