Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Apple Valley on February 5. Franchise owner Adam Shamel held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, February 5 to Sunday, February 9 to support the Apple Valley Police Activities League (AVPAL).
The new restaurant, located at 19179 Bear Valley Road, Suite #8, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to AVPAL.
“Jersey Mike’s is hands down the best tasting sub sandwich I’ve ever had,” said Shamel. “In fact, everything about Jersey Mike’s is exceptional. As a business owner I was really attracted to this brand because it offers a business model and level of customer service that I can really stand behind.”
Shamel added, “I am so grateful for this opportunity to bring Jersey Mike’s to the high desert area. As a company we are committed to making a difference in our local communities and we will continue this tradition with our grand opening fundraiser. For the first five days that we are open, we will be raising money for the Apple Valley PAL. One hundred percent of the funds that we raise will be funneled directly into programs that benefit our local youth and make a positive impact for the community.”
Shamel is an exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owner who shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $7.5 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 600,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses, sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike’s nearly 60 years ago. The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.
This is Shamel’s first Jersey Mike’s location.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (760) 247-3872.
