Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, opened in Rock Hill on January 8. Franchise owner Rodger Blake-Ward held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, January 8 to Sunday, January 19 to support the Children’s Attention Home.
The new restaurant, located at 1460 Meeting Boulevard, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Children’s Attention Home. The Children’s Attention Home provides emergency shelter and nurturing services to abused, abandoned, and neglected children in South Carolina.
“Every Jersey Mike’s grand opening is an opportunity to give back to the community,” said Blake-Ward. “For the first five days we are open, we will be teaming up with Children’s Attention Home. We are hopeful that we can make a positive impact for children in our community who are in great need of our support.”
Blake-Ward is an exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owner who shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who is dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised more nearly $7.5 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 600,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,000 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses, sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike’s nearly 60 years ago. The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.
This is the 12th Jersey Mike’s location for Blake-Ward. He is the owner of two other Rock Hill locations as well as Jersey Mike’s locations in Charlotte, N.C., Cornelius, N.C., Columbia, S.C., Fort Mill, S.C., Lexington, S.C. and most recently Indian Trail, N.C.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (803) 980-0010.
