Jersey Mike's Subs will officially open its doors in Conway, S.C. next week. The Jersey Mike's team knows the importance of community relations and will celebrate its new ties with Conway when the store holds a grand opening on Wed., August 13.
The store, located at 2676 Church St., is hosting a 5-day fundraiser for Conway High School in honor of the grand opening. Customers who donate $1 to the high school will receive a free regular sub through Sun., August 17. "We are excited to be opening our first store here in Conway, and look forward to being part of the community," said Ben Brown of Jersey Mike's in Conway. "The local high school is practically next door, and we believe in helping build the futures of our young people, so we couldn't think of a better focus."
According to Peter Cancro, founder and CEO of Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems, reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.
"You can sell the best products in town, but if you don't become a part of the community that you serve, you will never be a success," Cancro said. "I congratulate the Conway Jersey Mike's team on this new store and applaud them for their commitment to the community."
Store hours are 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., (11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sundays). Jersey Mike's Subs has been serving its authentic New Jersey submarine sandwiches for more than a half-century. Known for its Jersey-style subs, made "Mike's Way" with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature blend of olive oil, red wine vinegar and spices, each franchise uses only private labeled meats and cheeses that are sliced fresh for each sandwich and piled high on bread baked in the store each day.
