Jersey Mike’s Subs Raises Funds For Wounded Warrior Project

Grand Opening Celebrated with Free Subs

Jersey Mike’s Subs officially opened its doors in Alexandria.  Jersey Mike’s operator, Pat Foley knows the importance of community relations and celebrated his new ties with the area during the grand opening on Jan. 18.

To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 7732 D Richmond Highway, hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wed., Jan. 18 through Sun., Jan. 22, with proceeds supporting Wounded Warrior Project.  Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution.  Thousands of coupons were distributed throughout the community.

“We owe so much to those who fight to keep our country safe,” said Foley. “Because of our community’s proximity to the Pentagon, Ft. Belvoir and Quantico Marine Base, the sacrifices made by the men and women of our Armed Forces are especially apparent.” Foley hopes their fundraising efforts will help facilitate the mission of the organization that seeks to honor and empower present day Wounded Warriors.

Wounded Warrior Project is aimed to raise awareness and to enlist the public’s aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs.

All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well. “When we give back to the communities we serve, everyone benefits – we congratulate Pat on this new store and his team’s community spirit.” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO.

Foley, who favors the #9-Club Supreme, was attracted to Jersey Mike’s for the superior product, service, and culture. “Jersey Mike’s gives their customers quick service with a personal connection,” he said. “We provide the premium product and service they deserve.”  Foley sees his position at Jersey Mike’s as much more than a business venture. “When it comes down to it, I am passionate about helping provide opportunities for advancement to my team.  If someone works hard for me, I will do all I can to help him or her reach their personal goals.”
