Lakers Youth Foundation and Jersey Mike's Subs Team Up For Month of Giving

During the month of March, Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurants throughout Southern California participated in a “Month of Giving” fundraising campaign to benefit the Lakers Youth Foundation. Customers who made a $5 donation received Jersey Mike’s branded Silly Bandz along with a coupon for free chips and a drink. One-hundred (100%) of the Silly Bandz donations were contributed to the Lakers Youth Foundation.

The campaign culminated in an event entitled “Make a Difference Day” on March 28. On this day, Southern California Residents were invited to make a minimum contribution of a dollar to the Lakers Youth Foundation in exchange for a free regular-sized Jersey Mike’s sub.

During halftime of the Lakers-Spurs game on Tuesday, April 12, Jersey Mike’s Subs Southern California Area Directors Dan Burrell and Angel Velazquez presented a check in the amount of $53,930 to Roberta Mariani of the Lakers Youth Foundation. This contribution will help support the Lakers Youth Foundation, which focuses on the use of sports to promote education, teamwork and self-esteem among Los Angeles area youth.
