Jersey Mike’s Subs Raises Funds For Boys & Girls Club At Grand Opening
Owners Celebrate with Free Subs
Jersey Mike’s Subs opened its fourth store in Maryland. Jersey Mike’s owners Patrick and Elizabeth Provost know the importance of community relations and celebrated their new ties with the area during their grand opening on May 4.
To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 18015 Garland Groh Blvd., hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wed., May 4 through Sun., May 8, with proceeds supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County. Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular size sub with a minimum $1 contribution. More than 10,000 coupons were distributed throughout the community.
“After visiting the Boys & Girls Club of Washington County, we were impressed with the variety of opportunities offered to help the children succeed,” said Patrick Provost. “We have always felt that it is important to assist organizations that support the youth in our communities. In Maine, we championed the Little League, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, High School Boosters clubs, Drama clubs, and the schools. We look forward to doing even more community outreach in Hagerstown.”
Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike’s mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well. “We believe every Jersey Mike’s has a responsibility to its local community,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s founder and CEO. “Patrick and Elizabeth will make a real difference in Hagerstown with their commitment to giving back. We wish them every success, and congratulate them on opening their first Jersey Mike’s Subs.”
“Our family is originally from Maryland,” said Elizabeth Provost. “For the past 19 years we lived in Maine running our business and raising a family. With the love of family and a great business opportunity, the Provost family has happily returned home to Maryland. The combined synergy of franchising with Jersey Mike’s Subs and a chance for us and our children to be closer to family made the decision to open this location in Hagerstown ideal.”
Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this store directly at (301) 393-9495.
