Jersey Mike’s Subs Raises Funds For Rotary Club At Grand Opening

Owners Celebrate with Free Subs

Jersey Mike’s Subs opened its first store in Daytona Beach.  Jersey Mike’s owners Theresa Brooks, George Ebbs, and Steve Hole know the importance of community relations and celebrated their new ties with the area during their grand opening on August 18, 2010.

To commemorate the event, the new restaurant, located at 1808 W. International Speedway Blvd. (in the Volusia Point Shopping Center), hosted a 5-day fundraiser from Wed., August 18 through Sun., August 22, with proceeds supporting the Rotary Club of Daytona Beach West.  Anyone who had a fundraising coupon received a free regular size sub with a minimum $1 donation.  Coupons were distributed throughout the community.

“With this fundraiser, we want to support the men and women in the Rotary Club of Daytona Beach West.  We like how involved the Rotary is in the community with different services and programs,” said Theresa Brooks.   The mission of the club is to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through its fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders. “We are looking forward to building meaningful relationships with our new neighbors and invite everyone to come in, and join us as we show our support for the Rotary Club of Daytona Beach West.”

Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike’s mission.  All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.  “One of the great pleasures of running a local business is getting a chance to participate in the community,” said Peter Cancro, Jersey Mike’s Founder and CEO.  “Theresa Brooks, George Ebbs, and Steve Hole are great business owners who understand the value in giving back.  We congratulate them on their first store.”

Theresa Brooks was initially attracted to Jersey Mike’s because of the atmosphere, friendly staff, and quality of the food.  Her favorite Jersey Mike’s Sub is the #17 Philly Cheese Steak. “Daytona Beach is an amazing community with lots of great businesses.  We are located in a superb spot surrounded by the speedway, hospital, and school. I am looking forward to bringing the number one sub sandwich concept to the area,” said Brooks.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday –Sunday. You can contact this store directly at (386) 257-9119.
