Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix & Jersey Mike's Subs Help Local Kids - June 2010

Jersey Mike's Subs restaurants in Phoenix and surrounding communities raised more than $6,300 for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix (BGCMP) during a month-long fundraising campaign. The five Jersey Mike's stores donated $1 for every #13 (Original Italian) sub sold throughout the month of April.

"It's a tough time for non-profits and we want to ensure Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix is able to continue teaching and empowering our future citizens," said Bill Mapes, Jersey Mike's franchisee and area director.   "All of us in the Jersey Mike's Subs stores in Phoenix and the surrounding communities want to thank our customers in advance for helping support this great cause."

"More than ever before, kids need a safe place to go where they can get a nutritious meal, help with their homework and support from caring adults. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix is excited to partner with Jersey Mike's to help provide youth with the hope and opportunities they need to succeed," said Amy Gibbons, President and Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Phoenix.

Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.
