Jersey Mike's Subs Fundraiser Benefits Children's Miracle Network

Month-long Fundraiser Begins April 15

Twelve Jersey Mike's Subs restaurants are banding together with their customers for a full month to raise funds for the Children's Miracle Network (CMN), which will benefit the kids of Eastern North Carolina. Jersey Mike's will donate 50 cents for every Regular #7 sub and $1 for every Giant #7 sold from April 15 to May 15.

"We have supported Children's Miracle Network for several years because it has a big impact on the Eastern NC area, through funding of important programs at the Children's Hospital," said Martin Anderson, owner of two local Jersey Mike's stores, whose youngest daughter, Anna-Gray, was treated over several years at University Health Systems Children's Hospital for a congenital heart defect.  "Last year we raised $7,500 for this great cause, and this year, with the help of our wonderful customers, we hope to raise even more."

Participating stores, all of which have recently been remodeled, are located in Greenville (5 locations), Jacksonville, Tarboro, Wilson, New Bern and Morehead City.  Donations raised at the Rocky Mount and Goldsboro stores will also benefit the Children's Hospital.  All donations will stay local. During the fundraiser, they will sell as many of Jersey Mike's popular #7 subs as they can.  The #7 is Turkey Breast (99% fat free!) and Provolone served Mike's Way with lettuce, onions, tomatoes, olive oil, red wine vinegar and spices.

"We are excited that Jersey Mike's Subs has chosen to support Children's Miracle Network with their fund-raising efforts once again this year," said Laura Lee Potter, Children's Miracle Network Coordinator for University Health Systems Children's Hospital. "It is through the generosity and support of our corporate sponsors such as Jersey Mike's Subs and their dedicated employees and customers that we are able to provide the very best medical care to sick and injured children. This is a wonderful opportunity for the people of eastern North Carolina to join together in making miracles happen for the children in our region."

Children's Miracle Network is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and improving the lives of children by raising funds for children's hospitals across North America. Locally, CMN raises funds for University Health Systems Children's Hospital and is a fundraising program of the Pitt Memorial Hospital Foundation.  Funds raised through the local campaign are used to provide programs, services and state-of-the-art equipment for University Health Systems Children's Hospital and its 29 county service area.

Reaching out to the community is a key component of Jersey Mike's mission. All franchise owners find ways to support their neighbors and employees are encouraged to volunteer their time and talents as well.
