Jones Named President of Jersey Mike's Franchise Systems
At a recent celebration where Peter Cancro, CEO of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems of Manasquan, NJ, presented a contribution of $15,013 to St. John’s Healthcare Foundation, he announced that Hoyt Jones was hired as president of Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems.
In introducing Jones, Cancro said, “we are adding an enhanced level of expertise and franchise realization to our premium brand while focusing on an innovative business model to launch our comprehensive growth strategy. Hoyt’s leadership is an important component to capitalize on markets where fresh food, friendly service and the entrepreneurial spirit thrives. There are many moving parts in something like this and we are excited to set the wheels in motion. It is with great pleasure that I announce his appointment.”
It has been more than 50 years since the first sub was made with quality and care at the original Jersey Mike’s. Over the years, Jersey Mike’s has fueled its growth and success by continuing its tradition of quality and commitment to making “the” best sub sandwich in the industry.
In his new role at Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, Hoyt Jones will be responsible for initiating and leading the next phase of development and leveraging the solid brand strategy that has made Jersey Mike’s a consumer favorite. Jones has an impressive leadership background most recently with Domino’s Pizza. He started in 1985 and quickly moved up to executive vice president of domestic franchise operations overseeing the relationships with the Company’s 1,300 franchisees operating nearly 4,000 Domino’s stores in the United States. Since 2002, Jones has served on Domino’s Franchise Association Board.
In addition to Jones, Josephine Capozzi has been recruited to the Jersey Mike’s team as vice president of franchisee relations. “With Jo on board we are consolidating efforts to advance brand recognition and preparing a solid platform for goal alignment and execution. She is a dynamic individual with exceptional relationship building skills and tactical agility,” shared Cancro. Capozzi’s diverse experience includes more than a decade as service advisor for nationally recognized healthcare provider – Meridian Health. She was a catalyst in designing and implementing strategies for exceptional experiences, brand momentum, and key community relationships.
Jersey Mike’s Franchise Systems, a national sub sandwich franchise with over 400 stores open and under development, has a long history of community involvement and support. Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s serves authentic Northeast style subs on fresh baked bread – the same recipe it started with over 50 years ago. The company’s mission is to bring its customers the highest quality, freshest made sub in the industry and give back to the communities in which they operate.
