Jersey Mike's Subs Opens Seventh Twin Cities Area Location
Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser
May 28, 2014 • Vadnais Heights, MN
Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Vadnais Heights on May 28. Franchise owner Bart Crockett and director of operations David Miller held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 28 to Sunday, June 1 to support Vadnais Heights Elementary School, Central Middle School, and Lincoln Elementary School.
The new restaurant, located at 925 East County Road E in the Vadnais Square Shopping Center, circulated 12,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Vadnais Heights Elementary School, Central Middle School, or Lincoln Elementary School.
“All it took was one #7 Mike’s Way to get me hooked on opening my own Jersey Mike’s location,” said Crockett. “Everything about this restaurant concept, from the awesome sub, to the authentic menu, and the exceptional customer experience appealed to me as a business owner and further solidified my decision. I am grateful to be a part of the Jersey Mike’s family and for this opportunity to help the brand grow in the Twin Cities.”
Crockett added, “The Jersey Mike’s tradition is to partner with a local charity for the first five days that we are open. For our location in Vadnais Heights, we decided to team up with the local schools to raise funds and make a difference for our community. We hope to continue supporting local organizations and schools throughout the years so that we can make a meaningful impact for our customers.”
Crockett and Miller are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners and operators who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size. A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike’s in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – topped off with an exquisite zing of “the juice” – red wine vinegar and olive oil blended to perfection. Jersey Mike’s premium meats and cheeses are sliced on the spot, piled high on in-store baked bread and served up with a helping of neighborly banter from a dedicated and high-energy team.
This is the first Jersey Mike’s location for Crockett and Miller.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (651) 330-0334.
