LAS VEGAS – For the third year in a row, Jersey Mike’s Subs, one of the nation’s fastest growing restaurant chains, will serve up authentic fresh sliced subs at the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) annual RECon conference, May 18-20, 2014, in Las Vegas.

At Booth S494Q (located in South Hall 4), Jersey Mike’s is recreating a restaurant complete with bantering sub makers – and most importantly, the slicer. The company plans to serve 30,000 pieces of subs, with premium meats and cheese sliced right at the booth, topped “Mike’s Way®,” with the freshest vegetables – onions, lettuce and tomatoes – and an exquisite zing of “the juice.”  The company’s expert sub makers will be busy sprinkling 2,400 rows of red wine vinegar and 3,600 rows of olive oil on fresh subs during the three days of the conference.

In 2013, Jersey Mike’s saw record-breaking growth, opening 140 new locations with unit growth of 22%.  In addition, the company reported a system-wide sales increase of 22%, to $406 million.  This year, the company expects to open 150 locations and is looking for franchisees in target markets including New York/N.J., Northern California, Philadelphia, Boston, Atlanta and satellite markets throughout the country.

In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.  A 2014 Technomic report ranked Jersey Mike’s in the top five fastest-growing restaurant chains with sales above $200 million.

This growth is no surprise as Jersey Mike’s wins best sub awards in virtually every market it enters.

CEO Peter Cancro started the company at age 17, before he was even legally able to slice a sub.  The company remains committed to making a difference in the communities it serves. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised nearly $10 million for local charities and distributed more than 750,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.  This past March, Jersey Mike’s celebrated its 4th Annual “Month of Giving,” a national fundraising campaign, raising $2.1 million for 100+ local charities.
