Jersey Mike's Subs Opened First Flemington Location
Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser

Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Flemington on April 23. Franchise owners Jill and Kevin Stiffler held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, April 23 to Sunday, April 27 to support the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad.
The new restaurant, located at 75 Reaville Avenue, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad.
“Jersey Mike’s commitment to a quality product and helping others is what attracted us to the brand in the first place,” said Jill Stiffler. “It’s a tradition at Jersey Mike’s to celebrate every grand opening by giving back to the community through a five-day fundraiser. For our grand opening in Flemington, we are honored to partner with the Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad. The selfless volunteers and paramedics on this squad have helped our family intimately over the years and now we finally have a way to repay them for all they have done. We are so excited to bring Jersey Mike’s to our hometown and can't wait to open our doors to our community.”
The Stifflers worked with Unity Bank to secure a small business loan to help start up their new business. They chose Unity Bank because of its longstanding reputation and local ties within the Flemington community.
“The company’s commitment to quality and community both played a role in bringing Jersey Mike’s to Flemington,” said Debbie Godt, Unity Bank Vice President/SBA Business Development Executive. “Jill and Kevin Stiffler both have significant business and sales experience so we are confident they will do well in this new venture. They also intend to make it a true family business for their children so it will be a nice addition to a bustling shopping center.”
The Stifflers’ daughter Corrine, 23, will serve as operations manager; son Ryan, 18, will take on the local store marketing; and daughter Morgan, 17, will work part-time when not in high school.
