March 25, 2014 • Owings Mills
OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in Owings Mills on February 12. Franchise owners Philip Horn and Donald Bauer, along with operating partner Harold Wood, held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, February 12 to Sunday, February 23 to support Owings Mills High School.
The new restaurant, located at 9404 Reisterstown Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Owings Mills High School.
“Being from the area, I am truly excited to bring Jersey Mike’s to Owings Mills,” said Wood. “It’s great to be back home and I’m looking forward to serving the people who live and work in this community. Every Jersey Mike’s grand opening is an opportunity to make a difference for our customers and this time around we have partnered with Owings Mills High School. As Jersey Mike’s continues to grow throughout the surrounding area, we will continue to give back by supporting as many local schools and charitable organizations as we can.”
Horn and Bauer are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners who share the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $7.5 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 600,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide. In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.
The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses, sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike’s nearly 60 years ago. The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.
The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this location directly at (443) 471-4000.
