Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First West Bloomfield Location

Owners Celebrate With Free Sub Fundraiser

February 5, 2014 • West Bloomfield, MI

Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled subs, opened in West Bloomfield on February 5.  Franchise owners Robert Middleton, Bill Biga, and Carl Chandler held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, February 5 to Sunday, February 9 to support the West Bloomfield High School Athletic Department and the Orchard Lake Middle School Fundraiser.

The new restaurant, located at 6480 Orchard Lake Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the West Bloomfield High School Athletic Department or the Orchard Lake Middle School Fundraiser.

“Our mission with each new Jersey Mike’s location we open is to give back to our community by supporting the local schools,” said Biga.  “Our goal is to play a part in funding extracurricular activities and athletic programs that are currently underfunded in many of our public schools.  We are excited to be here in beautiful West Bloomfield and we look forward to serving up the most authentic sub sandwich in Michigan.”

Middleton, Biga, and Chandler are exemplary Jersey Mike’s franchise owners who shares the company’s commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service, and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community.  Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s locations throughout the country have raised nearly $7.5 million for worthy local charities and have distributed more than 600,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has 1,300 restaurants open and under development nationwide.  In just three years, the company has nearly doubled in size.

The growth is fueled by passionate Jersey Mike’s fans who crave their subs made Mike’s Way® with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices.  The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses, sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread.  Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike’s nearly 60 years ago.  The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.

This is the sixth Jersey Mike’s location for Middleton, Biga, and Chandler.  In September 2012, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s location in Shelby Township.  Middleton, Biga, and Chandler are the owners of additional locations in Rochester Hills, Farmington Hills, Madison Heights, and Birmingham.

The restaurant’s hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week.  You can contact this location directly at (248) 855-2055.
